One Highlight, beside the BMW Concept Active Tourer, for BMW in Paris will be the premiere of the BMW 320i EfficientDynamics Edition Sedan. This marks the first time, that BMW presents a petrol engine powered car which is geared particularly consistently towards efficiency.

The new Edition Sedan features the same fuel-saving technology and additional aerodynamics the so enjoyable diesel powered version of this car has. And this is a winner: “What Car?”, Britain’s No. 1 car buyer’s guide, announced the already available BMW 320d Efficient Dynamics as their “Green Car 2012” yesterday.
“What Car?” editor-in-chief Chas Hallett said: ‘The BMW 320d is a truly remarkable car that delivers 56mpg in the real world, while company car users will be taxed on its low emissions of just 110g/km of CO2. BMW has created a car that delivers great environmental credentials without compromise, which is what consumers really want.

What else to say?
Well, the petrol engined brother of the Winner features a variant of the 1,6 litre engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology which achieves a peak output of 125 kW/170 bhp. The car accelerates in 7.6 seconds from zero to 100 km/h, combining its athletic spirit with an average fuel consumption rate as measured on the EU test cycle of 5.3 litres per 100 kilometres.
This, ladys and gentleman, makes it the most economical petrol engine model within the current BMW range.

Oh, by the way: Not to be left in its big brother’s shadow – the BMW 116d EfficientDynamics 5-door Sports Hatch was also awarded. It’s “What Car?”‘s Small Family Car of the Year. Emitting just 99g/km CO2.
